BreakfastDessertSnack

Ingredients

  • 680 g Plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 cups Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 1/3 cups Nut-free granola
  • 4 tsp Honey
  • 4 tsp Chia seeds
  • 4 slices Whole-grain bread
  • 4 tsp Butter (or margarine)

Instructions

1

Wash the mixed berries thoroughly under cold water, then pat them dry using a paper towel. Set aside.

2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, honey, and chia seeds. Mix well until the honey and chia seeds are evenly distributed throughout the yogurt.

3

Take four serving glasses or bowls. Start creating the parfaits by adding a layer of the yogurt mixture at the bottom of each glass.

4

Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the yogurt in each glass.

5

Sprinkle a layer of nut-free granola over the berries in each glass.

6

Repeat the layers - yogurt, berries, and granola - until all ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of berries and a drizzle of honey on top for garnish.

7

While assembling the parfait, toast the whole-grain bread in a toaster until golden brown.

8

Spread 1 tsp of butter or margarine onto each slice of toasted bread.

9

Serve the parfait immediately with the buttered toast on the side.
