Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not let the milk come to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the milk mixture cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, stir in 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. This will usually take about 20-30 minutes until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Transfer the sherbet into an airtight container and place it in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until it firms up.

Once frozen, scoop the sherbet into bowls and serve. Enjoy your creamy milk sherbet!
