  • 500 g beef
  • 200 g cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 300 g cooked pasta
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened, about 3 minutes.

3

Add the beef to the skillet, cooking until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. This should take about 5 minutes.

Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes to thicken.

5

Mix in the cooked pasta, ensuring it is well-coated with the sauce.

6

Transfer the mixture into a large casserole dish. Top evenly with shredded cheddar cheese.

7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

8

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
