Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
Meanwhile, rinse the rice under cold water. In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil, add the rice and a pinch of salt, reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked. Drain if necessary.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice and beef mixture. Mix well to incorporate the ingredients together.
Transfer the mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
