Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the beef and chicken to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with a little salt and pepper.
Transfer the cooked meat mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over the meat in the baking dish.
Grate the cheese and sprinkle evenly over the top of the casserole.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
