  • 1 tsp baking powder

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each ball.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
