Ingredients

  • 8 oz. ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the 8 oz. of ziti pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta, 2 cups of marinara sauce, 1 cup of ricotta cheese, and 1 tbsp of Italian seasoning. Mix until everything is evenly coated.

In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread half of the ziti mixture in an even layer. Sprinkle half of the 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of this layer.

Layer the remaining ziti mixture on top of the mozzarella cheese. Then, sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese on top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious baked ziti!
