Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
While the pasta is cooking, cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and black pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Finely chop the garlic cloves. Add to the skillet with the chicken, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
Grate the Parmesan cheese and add to the skillet. Stir well until the cheese is melted and everything is combined.
Chop the fresh basil leaves and sprinkle over the pasta before serving.
