Tandoori Chicken with Steamed Broccoli

Total: 45 minutes
MealDinnerIndianHealthy

Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken legs
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 200 g broccoli
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 100 g yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

1

In a large bowl, combine 100g of yogurt, 2 tbsp of tandoori masala, 1 tsp salt, 0.5 tsp of pepper, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Mix until well combined to form a marinade.

2

Add 300g of chicken legs to the marinade and ensure they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight for enhanced flavors.

3

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

4

Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Arrange the marinated chicken legs on the sheet and brush them with 1 tbsp of olive oil.

5

Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and juices run clear. You can use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 75°C (165°F).

6

While the chicken is baking, steam 200g of broccoli until it is vibrant green and tender. This takes about 5-7 minutes.

7

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven. Serve immediately with the steamed broccoli.

8

Garnish with lemon wedges for a fresh citrus touch. Squeeze lemon over the chicken just before eating for added flavor.
