In a large bowl, marinate the beef slices with soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until it's browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add the mixed bell peppers and broccoli florets and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the sesame oil and stir everything together until combined and heated through, about 2 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve the stir-fry hot with rice or noodles of your choice.
