Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Add the meatballs to the skillet and season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for 7-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and heated through.
Meanwhile, warm the marinara sauce in a separate pan over low heat. Once warmed, add the cooked meatballs to the marinara sauce, ensuring they are well-coated.
Slice the sub rolls horizontally, being careful not to slice all the way through, so they stay connected on one side.
Place the sub rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Fill each sub roll with 4 meatballs and a generous amount of marinara sauce.
Top the meatballs with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese per sub.
Bake the subs in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the subs from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
