By Der Vue

Total: 45 minutes
Main CourseAsian CuisineFried Food

Ingredients

  • 500 g pork tenderloin
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

1

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Add 2 cups of water and the rice to a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.

2

Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips or small bite-sized pieces. Season with soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

3

In a shallow dish, beat the egg. Place flour in another shallow dish. Dip each piece of marinated pork into the beaten egg, then coat it evenly with flour.

4

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated pork pieces. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

5

Serve the crispy pork pieces over the cooked rice. Optionally, you can drizzle some more soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce over it.
