In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, lemon juice, chopped dill, and a pinch each of salt and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
Lay out the slices of smoked salmon on a clean cutting board or work surface.
Spread a small amount of the cream cheese mixture onto each slice of smoked salmon evenly.
Place a couple of thin cucumber slices and a few capers on one end of each slice of salmon.
If using mashed avocado, add a small smear beside the cucumber slices.
Carefully roll up the salmon slices, starting from the end with the cucumber and avocado, securing the filling within.
Arrange the roll-ups on a serving plate. Optionally garnish with additional dill or a lemon wedge. Serve immediately.
