Ingredients

  • 4 pieces cube steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1

Take the cube steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 10 minutes.

2

Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.

3

Pat the cube steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the steaks.

4

Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and sizzling.

5

Place the cube steaks in the skillet, cooking them for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are browned on the outside and cooked to your liking inside. Avoid overcrowding the pan; you may need to do this in batches.

6

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
