Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus. In a bowl, toss the asparagus with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange the asparagus on one side of the prepared baking sheet.
Place the salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the salmon fillets. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets, covering them evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve the baked salmon with the roasted asparagus on the side. Enjoy while warm.
