Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
In a small bowl, combine the butter and olive oil. Melt in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds or until just melted.
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the butter and oil mixture.
Mix in the salt, pepper, and chopped parsley to the butter mixture.
Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette.
Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the buttered side of the baguette halves.
Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet, cheese side up.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are lightly golden.
Remove from oven, slice, and serve warm.
