In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and chia seeds. Stir to evenly distribute the chia seeds throughout the oats.
Add the almond milk to the oats and chia seed mixture. Stir until all dry ingredients are fully immersed in the liquid.
Add the almond butter and maple syrup to the mixture. Mix well to ensure that the almond butter is evenly distributed throughout.
Transfer the mixture into a jar or airtight container. Seal tightly with a lid and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours, to allow the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and become soft.
The next morning, take the jar out of the fridge. Peel and slice the banana.
Stir the oats to combine any separated ingredients. Top with the sliced banana before serving.
Optional: Drizzle a little more maple syrup on top if desired, and serve chilled.
