Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the garlic and butter. Toss to coat the pasta in the garlic butter.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pasta, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything well until the cheese is melted and coats the pasta.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss in the chopped parsley just before serving for a fresh touch.
Serve the pasta immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
