Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the lean ground turkey, bread crumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp ground black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the turkey mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden on the outside. (Internal temperature should be at least 165°F or 74°C).
While the meatballs are baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the whole-wheat spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a large pan, heat 1 tsp olive oil over medium heat. Add the marinara sauce and simmer gently.
Once the meatballs are cooked, gently transfer them to the pan with the marinara sauce. Stir to coat the meatballs evenly with the sauce and continue to simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Divide the cooked spaghetti onto plates. Top each serving with meatballs and a generous spoonful of the marinara sauce.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over each serving along with any extra fresh parsley if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy your Italian Turkey Meatballs in Marinara with Whole-Wheat Spaghetti.
