Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan, minced garlic (2 cloves), Italian herbs, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix thoroughly using your hands until well combined.
Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
While the meatballs are baking, cook the whole-wheat spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the remaining minced garlic clove and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce and simmer together for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve the spaghetti topped with the turkey meatballs and marinara sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining grated Parmesan and extra Italian herbs if desired.
Serve the mixed salad greens on the side and drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette to taste.
