Cut the chicken breasts into thin slices, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
Season the chicken slices with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing well to ensure even coating.
Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the seasoned chicken slices to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, reduce heat to low and add the cheddar cheese.
Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and smooth, creating a creamy sauce.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it well with the cheesy sauce.
Serve the cheesy chicken hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
