Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the lean ground turkey to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to blend the flavors.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti or penne with the ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well to incorporate the cheese evenly.
Add the turkey and marinara mixture to the pasta and cheese mixture, stirring gently to combine well.
Transfer the mixture into a baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
