In a small saucepan, combine 50 g rolled oats, 200 ml 2% milk, and 50 ml water. Add a pinch of salt if desired to enhance the flavor.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom.
While the oats are cooking, peel the banana and slice it into thin rounds. Set aside.
Once the oatmeal has thickened to your liking (about 5-7 minutes), remove it from the heat. Stir in the sliced banana and 1 tbsp of almond butter, allowing the heat from the oatmeal to gently warm the banana and melt the almond butter.
Taste the oatmeal and add cinnamon to your preference. Adjust the sweetness by adding a bit more banana if desired.
Serve the warm oatmeal in a bowl, and if you like, top with additional banana slices or a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor.
