Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
Fold the chocolate chips into the dough until evenly distributed.
Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
