Italian Sub Sandwiches

Italian Sub Sandwiches

By Ebenezer Obiri

Total: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Sub rolls
  • 8 oz Deli meats (salami, ham, turkey)
  • 1/2 cup Provolone cheese
  • 1 cup Lettuce
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 medium Onion, sliced
  • 4 tbsp Italian dressing

Instructions

1

Gather all the ingredients: sub rolls, deli meats (salami, ham, turkey), provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and Italian dressing.

2

Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise, taking care not to cut all the way through. You want them to open like a book.

3

Layer the deli meats evenly inside each sub roll. Use a mix of salami, ham, and turkey as desired, making sure each sandwich gets about 4 oz of deli meats.

4

Add 1/4 cup of provolone cheese on top of the deli meats in each sub roll.

5

Add 1/2 cup of lettuce evenly onto the cheese layer in each sandwich.

6

Place 2 to 3 tomato slices on top of the lettuce in each sub.

7

Top the tomato slices with a few slices of onion (about 2-3 slices) in each sandwich.

8

Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Italian dressing over the top of the vegetables in each sub for added flavor.

9

Close the sub rolls and press them down gently to compact the ingredients slightly.

10

If desired, cut each sub sandwich in half for easier serving. Serve immediately and enjoy your Italian Sub Sandwiches!
