Total: 45 minutes
Main CourseItalianPastaDinner

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 8 ounces Spaghetti
  • 2 cups Tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Instructions

1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2

Peel and finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, half of the chopped onion, half of the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

4

Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

6

While the meatballs are baking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

7

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the remaining onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

8

Add the tomato sauce, the remaining 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs, and honey to the skillet. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

9

Add the baked meatballs to the tomato sauce and let them simmer for another 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.

10

Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with additional Italian herbs if desired.
