Chia Seed Pudding with Fresh Fruits

Chia Seed Pudding with Fresh Fruits

By Caitlin Howard

Total: 4 hours and 10 minutes (including chilling time)
DessertVeganGluten-FreeBreakfast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh fruits
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the chia seeds, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir thoroughly to ensure all seeds are immersed and not clumped together.

2

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results, to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and form a pudding-like consistency.

3

Once the chia pudding is set, stir it well to break up any clumps and ensure a uniform texture.

4

Spoon the chia pudding into serving bowls or glasses. Top with fresh fruits of your choice, such as berries, sliced kiwi, or banana.

5

Serve immediately, or refrigerate for another 20 minutes if you prefer a cooler dessert.
