Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
Chop the tomatoes and garlic finely. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the pan. Cook the sauce, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until it thickens. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
While the sauce is cooling, roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Spread the cooled tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough leaving a small border around the edges.
Slice or grate the cheese and scatter it evenly over the tomato sauce.
Arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the pizza and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy, and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Remove the pizza from the oven and scatter fresh basil leaves over the top.
Slice the pizza and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious Pepperoni Margherita Pizza!
