Greek Yogurt & Berry Parfait with Gluten-Free Granola

Greek Yogurt & Berry Parfait with Gluten-Free Granola

By Margaret Mallory

Total: 15 minutes
BreakfastDessertHealthyVegetarianGluten-Free

Ingredients

  • 400 g plain Greek yogurt
  • 150 g mixed berries
  • 80 g gluten-free granola
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Instructions

1

Prepare the mixed berries by washing them thoroughly. Pat them dry with a clean towel. If you have large strawberries, consider slicing them into smaller pieces.

2

In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt and one tablespoon of honey or maple syrup until well combined. This will evenly sweeten the yogurt.

3

Place 2 tablespoons of the granola at the bottom of each serving glass or bowl. This provides a crunchy base for your parfait.

4

On top of the granola, add a layer of the Greek yogurt mixture (about 100 g per serving). Use a spoon to spread it evenly.

5

Sprinkle a layer of chia seeds (optional) over the yogurt for added texture and nutrition.

6

Add a layer of the mixed berries (approximately 75 g per serving) over the yogurt, distributing them evenly.

7

Drizzle a half tablespoon of honey or maple syrup over the berries for an additional touch of sweetness.

8

Repeat the layering process: Add another layer of yogurt (100 g per serving), another spoon of granola, and then finish with the remaining berries.

9

Garnish the top with a few extra berries and a final drizzle of honey or maple syrup, if desired. Serve immediately.
