Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture by placing it between paper towels and setting a weight on top for about 10 minutes. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
Cut the broccoli into small florets and slice the garlic cloves thinly.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove tofu and set aside.
In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, and silken tofu until smooth. This will create the garlic-sesame sauce.
Return the browned tofu to the pan, pour over the garlic-sesame sauce, and toss everything together for 2-3 minutes to heat through and mix the flavors.
Serve the stir-fry over the cooked jasmine rice.
