  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 8 slices Bread (preferably thick slices like brioche or challah)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Instructions

2

Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbling.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing each side to soak for a few seconds. Ensure that the bread is well coated but not soggy.

4

Place the soaked bread slices into the skillet, cooking 2-3 slices at a time depending on the size of your skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

5

Remove the cooked French toast from the skillet and keep warm. Repeat with the remaining butter and bread slices.

6

Serve warm, optionally with powdered sugar, maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
