Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper on both sides.
Place the salmon fillet skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, or until fully cooked (flakes easily with a fork).
Reduce the heat to low, and pour the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, coating it evenly.
Let the salmon simmer in the sauce for 2 minutes, ensuring it is fully coated and the sauce thickens slightly.
In a serving bowl, place the cooked rice as a base.
Top the rice with the teriyaki salmon.
Arrange the steamed broccoli around the salmon.
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the entire bowl.
