In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats with the milk (or almond milk if preferred). Stir well to ensure the oats are fully submerged.
Add the almond butter to the oat mixture. Stir well until the almond butter is evenly dispersed throughout the mixture.
Incorporate the chia seeds (if using) into the mixture. Stir well to ensure even distribution, which will also help thicken the oats as they absorb the liquid overnight.
Divide the oat mixture evenly into three jars or bowls with lids, making sure each serving gets equal parts oats and liquid.
Add the mixed berries on top of each oat portion, dividing them evenly among the servings.
If you desire extra sweetness, drizzle a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup on top of each jar or bowl. This is optional.
Seal the containers tightly with their lids and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours.
In the morning, stir the oats well before consuming to distribute the flavors evenly. You can enjoy them cold or heat for a minute or two in the microwave.
