American-Style Overnight Oats with Berries & Almond Butter

By Codi Ferguson

Total: 8 hours 10 minutes
BreakfastHealthyAmericanMake-Ahead

Ingredients

  • 180 g Rolled oats
  • 600 ml Milk (cow's 1% or unsweetened almond)
  • 240 g Mixed berries
  • 3 tbsp Almond butter
  • 3 tsp Honey or maple syrup
  • 1.5 tbsp Chia seeds

Instructions

1

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and your choice of milk (cow's 1% or unsweetened almond milk). Stir well to ensure all oats are soaked.

2

Add the chia seeds to the oat and milk mixture. Stir to evenly distribute the seeds, which will thicken the oats as they soak.

3

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the mixture to individual jars with lids. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours.

4

The next morning, give the oats a good stir and divide them into three serving bowls or jars.

5

Top each portion with 80 g of mixed berries, ensuring even distribution of berries across servings.

6

Add 1 tablespoon of almond butter to each serving. You can swirl it into the oats for a marbled effect or leave it as a dollop on top.

7

Drizzle each serving with 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup if using. Adjust to taste.

8

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours if eating later in the day.
