Total: 1 hour
DessertBaking

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk

Instructions

1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and lightly flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or a similar baking pan.

2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

3

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4

Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

5

In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour with baking powder and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix just until combined.

6

Add the vegetable oil and mix until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.

7

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

8

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

9

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
