Bring a medium-sized pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole wheat linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
Stir in the lemon juice, mixing well to coat the shrimp.
Combine the cooked linguine with the shrimp mixture in the skillet, tossing until well coated. Adjust salt and pepper as needed.
Finely chop the parsley and sprinkle over the dish just before serving. Serve hot.
