Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water, then drain and set aside.
Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness, about 1/2 inch thick, and season them with salt and pepper.
Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: Fill one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and coat with the bread crumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish.
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken breasts in the baking dish, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve chicken breasts on a bed of cooked spaghetti with additional marinara sauce if desired.
