Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg. In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
Dip each chicken breast in the egg to coat, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and brown for about 2 minutes on each side.
Pour 1 cup of marinara sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
While the chicken bakes, cook spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
In a separate pan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and broccoli florets and sauté until broccoli is tender-crisp, about 5-6 minutes.
To serve, plate the spaghetti. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over it. Place a chicken breast on top of the spaghetti and add a side of sautéed broccoli.
