Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add 1 lb of ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
Stir in 1 teaspoon of salt, 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, and 1 teaspoon of ground cumin. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Warm taco shells according to the package instructions.
Fill each taco shell with a portion of the cooked ground beef.
Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a generous spoonful of salsa. Adjust toppings as desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
