Dice the onion and tomato. Mince the garlic cloves.
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the lean ground beef to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
Stir in the diced tomato and chili spices. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Add the cooked kidney beans to the pan. Stir well to combine.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In a separate pot, warm the cooked brown rice over low heat, if necessary.
Serve the beef chili over the warm brown rice. Enjoy your meal!
