Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges. You should have about 4 cups of sliced apples.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface to fit a 9-inch tart or pie pan. If you are using store-bought crust, simply place it into the pan and crimp the edges as desired.
Pour the apple mixture into the center of the pie crust, leaving about 2 inches of space around the edges.
Fold the edges of the pie crust over the apples, pleating the dough as you go to create a rustic look. Feel free to leave the center open to show off the apples.
Dot the top of the apples with small pieces of butter, using about 1 tablespoon total.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your Cinnamon Apple Crostata warm or at room temperature!
