Start by preparing the chicken. Season both sides of the chicken breast with salt and black pepper generously.
In a large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.
Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the pan. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, reduce the heat to low and add 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
Mince the garlic and add it to the melted butter. Cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, ensuring it does not burn.
Return the cooked chicken to the pan, spoon the garlic butter over the chicken to coat it evenly, then remove from heat and set aside while making the dumplings.
To prepare the dumplings, in a medium bowl, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Beat 2 eggs and add them to the flour mixture. Mix until you get a firm dough. Adding a little water if needed.
Roll the dumpling dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
Bring a pot of water with 1 teaspoon of sugar to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water. Cook until they float to the surface, about 3-4 minutes, then remove.
Beat the remaining egg in a small bowl. Drizzle the beaten egg over the dumplings as they cook in the boiling water, stirring gently to create an egg ribbon effect, then remove dumplings and egg with a slotted spoon.
Serve the garlic butter chicken on a plate, accompanied by the egg dumplings. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the dumplings.
