Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
Peel the sweet potato and cut it into cubes of about 2 cm.
Place the sweet potato cubes on a baking sheet. Drizzle with half of the olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Roast the sweet potato in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking.
While the sweet potato is in the oven, rinse and pat dry the salmon fillet. Season it with the remaining salt and pepper.
After 15 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven and move the sweet potatoes to one side. Place the salmon fillet on the other side. Drizzle the salmon with the rest of the olive oil.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 12-15 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Meanwhile, cut the broccoli into florets and steam them over boiling water for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still bright green.
Once everything is cooked, serve the roasted salmon with the sweet potato and steamed broccoli on a plate. Squeeze the lemon wedge over the salmon and vegetables for added flavor.
