Beef Stir-Fry with Broccoli and Bell Peppers

Beef Stir-Fry with Broccoli and Bell Peppers

By Jack Swets

Total: 30 minutes
Main DishAsianStir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

1

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Add the sliced beef sirloin, ensuring each piece is coated in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned but not fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

3

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the broccoli florets and bell pepper slices. Stir-fry the vegetables until they are tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.

4

Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are coated with the sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

5

Serve the beef stir-fry hot over the cooked brown rice.
