Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Peel and dice the sweet potato into 2 cm cubes.
Place the diced sweet potato on a baking sheet, drizzle with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil, and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Roast the sweet potato in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until tender and lightly browned, tossing halfway through.
Meanwhile, prepare the salmon by placing the fillet on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil, and season with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, the freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon, and 1 teaspoon of dill.
Wrap the salmon in the foil, sealing the edges to create a packet.
Place the foil packet on a baking tray and bake in the oven along with the sweet potatoes for about 15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
While the salmon and potatoes are baking, cut the broccoli into florets and steam them for about 5-7 minutes until tender yet crisp.
Serve the baked salmon with roasted sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli on the side. Garnish with additional lemon wedges if desired.
