Grilled Sirloin Steak with Roasted Sweet Potatoes & Green Beans

By Sasha Gordanier

Total: 40 minutes
DinnerMain CourseGrilling

Ingredients

  • 200 g sirloin steak
  • 1 medium sweet potato
  • 1 cup steamed green beans
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Let the sirloin steak sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before grilling.

2

While the grill is heating up, mince the garlic cloves and mix them with olive oil, rosemary, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

3

Rub the marinade over the sirloin steak, ensuring it is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 5 minutes.

4

While the steak is marinating, cut the roasted sweet potato into bite-sized chunks if it's not already done.

5

Place the steak on the preheated grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer depending on your desired doneness.

6

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

7

In a large bowl, combine the roasted sweet potato chunks and steamed green beans. Drizzle with any remaining marinade for added flavor.

8

Slice the steak against the grain into thick slices.

9

Serve the sliced steak with the roasted sweet potatoes and green beans on the side.
