Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
Peel the sweet potato and cut it into 1-inch cubes. Place them on one side of the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with half the olive oil (1/2 tbsp). Season with salt and pepper, then toss to coat evenly.
Place the salmon fillet on the other side of the baking sheet. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil (1/2 tbsp), and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
While the salmon and sweet potatoes are baking, steam the broccoli florets. Bring a pot of water to boil, place the broccoli in a steamer basket, and cover. Steam for about 5-7 minutes, until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
Once everything is cooked, plate the salmon, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Squeeze the lemon wedge over the salmon for added flavor if desired.
