Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken

Lemon Herb Grilled Chicken

By Guest Chef

Total: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1

In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until well mixed.

2

Place the boneless chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.

3

Pour the marinade over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.

4

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking.

5

Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the marinade.

6

Place the chicken on the preheated grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is nicely browned.

7

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving. This helps retain the juices in the chicken.

8

Serve the grilled chicken with your choice of sides, such as a fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
