Total: 15 minutes
BreakfastVegetarianHealthy

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Rolled oats
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 large Banana
  • 0.5 cup Mixed Berries (e.g., blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water (optional)

Instructions

1

In a medium saucepan, bring 3 cups of milk and 1/2 cup of water to a gentle boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from burning.

2

Add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt to the boiling milk mixture. Stir well to combine.

3

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and have absorbed most of the liquid.

4

While the oats are cooking, peel and slice the banana, and prepare any large berries (halve or slice strawberries if needed).

5

Once the oats are cooked, remove the pan from heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey (or to taste) until well combined.

6

Divide the oatmeal into serving bowls. Top each serving with sliced banana and a mixture of berries.

7

Serve warm and enjoy your delicious oatmeal with fruit! Optionally, drizzle with additional honey if desired.
