Banana Oatmeal

Banana Oatmeal

By Nate Patrylak

Total: 15 minutes
BreakfastVegetarianQuick and Easy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 item banana
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1

In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, and salt. Stir well to mix everything together.

2

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom.

3

Peel the banana and slice it into thin rounds while the oats are cooking.

4

Once the oat mixture starts to thicken, about 5-7 minutes, add in the banana slices and stir them into the oatmeal. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

5

Stir in the honey and cinnamon, mixing well to incorporate all the flavors evenly.

6

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the oatmeal sit for a minute to thicken further.

7

Serve the banana oatmeal warm, garnished with extra banana slices or a drizzle of honey if desired.
